A live debate with The Economist and key opinion-leaders.
On October 19th, The Economist will be holding the first of two debates, gathering a group of 60 stakeholders from industry - senior corporate executives, academia, government, NGOs, pressure groups and energy associations - for an interactive and lively debate on UK's energy security.
The first debate will be held at the Queen's Building, Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
Energy security has been a major concern of governments, business and consumers in its different guises for a long time. As a net energy importer with a highly lberalised economy, the UK has less control over its energy supply than many other developed nations. Join us on October 19th to debate on the following:
- Is the UK doing enough to ensure security of supply?
- How can business, society and government best contribute to secure our future energy supply?
- Which strategies will best ensure access to secure and sustainable energy in the UK?
Global energy security is viewed by various stakeholders (environmental, political, economic and public policy) in different ways depending on their interests and objectives. Have your say today...complete our poll.
