Jim Haseloff, Research Scientist and Lecturer, University of Cambridge
Jim is a pioneering biologist who takes part in the annual Internationally Genetically Engineered Machine competition, a jamboree that is changing science, where undergraduates have engineered bacteria that can do the work of a failed kidney or show quickly whether water is safe to drink.
