Ajay Bakshi - United Kingdom

Ajay Bakshi is an experienced healthcare professional having played diverse roles as practicing Neurosurgeon, Steam cell Scientist and Management Consultant over the last two decades.

In his first professional assignment, Mr Bakshi worked as a consultant Neurosurgeon at a leading private hospital in New Delhi. Between 1998 and 2002 he pioneered Endoscope Neurosurgery in India after receiving his training from Prof Axel Perneczky in Germany.

His Neurosurgical research work has been published in “Journal of Neurosurgery”, “Journal of Neurological Sciences”, “Nutrition and National Journal of India”. In his last role, Mr Bakshi was an Associate Partner with McKinsey and Company where he worked for more than six years.

He started in the New York office, then moved to Dubai and most recently transferred to the India office of McKinsey. Mr Bakshi is deeply passionate about using technology to improve healthcare delivery models and he helped create and lead McKinsey's global mobile healthcare practice.
