John Chave - United Kingdom

John Chave has been Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU) since 2006. The PGEU is the European Association representing community pharmacists in 31 European countries.

A lawyer by training, he worked in the health field in Brussels for seven years before joining PGEU.

He is a British national, and was educated at the Universities of Sheffield, Trent and Exeter. In addition to English as mother tongue, John Chave speaks Spanish and French.
